[edit] Kernels for Dream/Magic
CyanogenMod can work with various Kernels and schedulers by applying a new boot image after the latest CyanogenMod has been applied.
Different kernels and schedulers have different advantages and disadvantages. Applying a customized kernel or scheduler effectively turns your stable build into an experimental build.
Kernels must be matched to the core CyanogenMod build that you are running (e.g. don't run a 4.2.7.1 kernel on a 4.2.8 build).
