use of this page

To answer pconwell's question in the latest edit, I doubt anyone uses this anymore. It's specific to using the ADP1 1.6 base on Dream for cm4.2, which is unsupported, old, etc.

However, we might want to make a similar page condensing the stickied post in the forums for recovery on DS when it fails to flash from rommanager, but I'll leave that to someone else. PsychoI3oy 04:42, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

Very good idea... I haven't dealt with this directly, but to fix rommanager issues, it would be basically the same process as already listed in this article, right?--Pconwell 05:16, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/961-recoveryfixed-unable-to-reboot-to-recovery/ is the post I was talking about. Because cm5/6 require dangerspl, the whole manual-addition-of-flash_image and stuff doesn't need to be done, fastboot flash should just work. PsychoI3oy 05:50, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
Okay, updated page again. I didn't really change anything, but I kinda reorganized the whole thing and matched up some stuff from the post. I'm not 100% sure if it will fix the clockwork mod stuff because I have never had that problem, but it should work just fine. Question: should we leave the links to recovery for the other phones? This page is pretty specifically for the DS, prob cut down on confusion?--Pconwell 06:58, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
eh, might as well leave the other device links in, who knows what problem people will have in the future PsychoI3oy 07:52, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

Update for CM5

Yay we don't have to worry about this on cm5 anymore! So the update will be to ... well, do nothing, because someone's bound to screw something up. PsychoI3oy 05:46, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

Hi,
As helpful as this page may be, I think it needs to be less "eye-poking" and more readable.
By eye-poking I mean the redundant, repetitive exclamation marks, smilies, irrelevant, personal bits in sentences, etc.
This needs to provide information, in a raw, and well structured form. It needs to be a technical writing, so I may change bits and pieces, accordingly.
Also, noticed a few wrong references to AmOn_Ra (not Aman_Ra). So, I changed that, too...

I will start enhancing this article now. Help and comments appreciated!

EDIT: Just done some editing. No restructuring, though it's needed. This Wiki editor can be a real pain... Sorry about random paragraphs, <span> tags, weird indent, etc.  Trying to get rid of it....

EDIT2: Turns out, I can't figure it out..Random formatting occurs constantly, if someone knows how to fix it, please do.

EDIT3: Added another method for flashing recovery, if the user has HardSPL, or can otherwise use bootloader to flash images. :D

I pulled out all the weird markup you put in. It looks like you're trying to edit it with an HTML editor or something, you copied the generated HTML instead of the source code for the page. --Loonacy 17:58, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Hmmm..yes, but I didn't put any markups in there. Actually I was trying to keep it as simple as possible. After your edit, the page seems to be messed up again, but not your fault probably! That's what I was talking about, it just randomly does weird formatting. I'll give it another go when I find some spare time, and thanks for the help! --Skrki 12:21, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

The page looks fine to me. What is it that looks wrong to you? --Loonacy 17:29, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Nexus one wtf?

It's great that there's a Ra recovery for the nexus one already but wtf is it doing on this page? Nexus users shouldn't ever have to use anything on this page. PsychoI3oy 06:16, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

HELP! How do you know what SPL you have on your phone? Seemingly everyone sais, "you'd know"

But some of us don't even know what it stands for. Where can this be checked? magic 32a :on Rogers network Canada.
